Our yeast packets are packaged by weight, and each one is 5/16 oz., or 8.75 g. (We have 25% more yeast compared to other brands, to help whole grain baked goods rise higher.)
The volume measure in each Active Dry Yeast Packet is approximately 3 ⅛ tsp. The volume measure in each Fast Rise Dry Yeast packet is approximately 3 ⅝ tsp. (Volume measure is subject to humidity.)
Some recipes call for cubes or cakes of yeast. 1 pkg Hodgson Mill yeast = .6 oz cube = 1 cake = 17 grams.
